We use these in our syrups and steams. Also, remember you can heat these up, to a boil and it breaks down the nauseating effect that it can have on some people. We love to infuse honey with the berries. Just mix them in with your raw honey and store! Use it on jelly or make a delicious addition to oatmeal.
Did you know that elderberry has been known in herbalism to be great friend to the cardio system?
Simmer 2 cups of elderberries and 3 cups of water in a pot on the stove for 20 min. Add 1 tablespoon of dried ginger root, half a table spoon of nutmeg and 1./2 tsp of cinnamon stir for 5 minutes, cool then mix with 3 cups of raw honey. Store in a cool dry place for 3-6 months. Enjoy!
